Kinetic Taping
What is Kinectic Taping?
Kinetic taping is a rehabilitative technique that our highly trained team of doctors utilize to support and stabilize the body’s muscles and joints during the healing process. It can be used to decrease pain and inflammation, relax overused or tired muscles, and support joints during activity.
What does Kinectic Taping treat?
In our office, taping is performed in conjunction with physical therapy and chiropractic treatments. Any area of soft tissue (muscle or tendon) can be taped. Performance Ortho utilizes taping primarily with the following injuries and conditions:
- Shin splints
- Tendonitis
- Carpal Tunnel
- Sports Injuries
- Sprained ankles
- Tennis elbow
- Posture
- Swelling
- Muscle pain
Once your therapist measures, cuts and places the tape on your body, it can typically be worn for up to 72 hours, with no limit to range of motion, and virtually no limitations. Taping is also often billed through your insurance.
Taping is currently available at Performance Ortho. For more information, call 908-754-1960 or book your appointment today!
