Education
Dr. Mejia completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, where he received a B.S. in Biology. He then earned his medical degree at the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and fellowship-trained in Interventional Pain/Musculoskeletal Medicine. He holds medical licenses in both the state of New Jersey and New York.
Work Experience
Dr. Mejia is board certified and fellowship trained in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, which focuses on non-surgical orthopedic medicine. Additionally, he is fellowship trained in interventional pain management. Dr. Mejia is triple board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Interventional Pain Management and Sports Medicine. He also received extensive training in Regenerative Medicine. He is also certified in diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound and has received extensive training in Regenerative Medicine for advanced spine conditions. Dr. Mejia is published in multiple projects and publications, as well as ran 8 different courses and workshops

Dr. Mejia is board certified in Physiatry, a medical specialty also known as Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R). He is also fellowship-trained in interventional pain management. After completing his residency at NYU/Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation, he received fellowship training in Interventional Pain/Musculoskeletal Medicine at UMDNJ/Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation.
Special Interests
Dr. Mejia is married with four children. Dr. Mejia currently resides in Wayne, NJ. During his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family. Dr. Mejia also enjoys traveling, photography, computers and playing basketball.
