Tenex Health TXTM Revolutionizes the Treatment of Chronic Tendon Pain

Performance Rehabilitation & Regenerative Medicine in Watchung, Branchburg and Somerset New Jersey is now offering state-of-the-art technology developed at the Mayo Clinic to treat chronic tendon pain.

Performance Rehabilitation & Regenerative Medicine has partnered with Tenex Health TXTM to offer this minimally invasive technology designed to precisely identify, remove and extract damaged tendon tissue. Tenex Health TXTM is supported by cutting-edge research developed by the Mayo Clinic to solve chronic unresponsive pain as a result of chronic tendon and plantar fasciitis conditions, which until now, was lacking a definitive medical solution. Providing fast relief for tennis elbow, golfers elbow, shoulder, foot, and knee pain. Since Tenex Health TXTM only removes diseased tissue, while preserving healthy tissue, the patient experiences rapid pain relief and return to an active lifestyle much quicker than traditional orthopedic surgical procedures.

The procedure involves using ultrasound-imaging technology, the same kind used to see babies in the womb; this will help the doctor identify the specific location of the damaged pain-generating tissue. The physician will then create a micro-incision at the injured site and insert the TX MicroTip (which is the size of a toothpick.) The TX MicroTip uses ultrasonic energy to precisely remove only the damaged tissue, breaking it down; without removing or hurting any healthy tissue.

Benefits of Tenex Health TXTM over traditional orthopedic surgery are:

  • Quick pain relief
  • Rapid return to normal activity
  • Local anesthetic used instead of general anesthesia
  • No sutures or stiches
  • Minimally invasive, not open surgery
  • Majority of the cost covered by most insurances

Performance Rehabilitation & Regenerative Medicine utilizes an inter-disciplinary team approach to treatment unlike any other in the area. In some cases, the patient may also receive Regenerative Injection Therapy (Stem Cells or Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy) in conjunction with Tenex Health TX TM for a more comprehensive result. Patients are also encouraged to proceed with physical therapy after the procedure(s) to strengthen and regain normal motion which is necessary to return to full activity. This treatment protocol will last between 4 and 8 weeks depending on the severity of your condition. It is imperative that you follow the treatment guidelines as we have found less satisfactory results when there is a deviation from the treatment plan.

We have experienced excellent outcomes utilizing Tenex Health TXTM for the following conditions:
